Kylie Corrigan
Allied Health Assistant
Cert IV AHA, Cert IV Fitness, Dip. Yoga Teaching
After being made redundant from her job way back in 2009, Kylie took the opportunity to study her Cert IV in Fitness which led to a passion for helping people not only move more but to have confidence in and compassion for themselves when doing so.
Fast forward 10 years and two children and Kylie has undertaken further study to become qualified in allied health assistance and yoga teaching and is currently studying to become a certified yoga therapist which will bring her love of yoga & healthcare together.
Kylie comes to Home Active Physiotherapy with almost 3 years of experience working in the chronic pain clinic at Austin Health, where she was privileged to work with patients with a challenging and diverse range of conditions. This role ignited a passion for exploring and sharing information about the mind-body connection and how it can help people with chronic health conditions.
It’s said that when you love your job you never work a day in your life and that certainly rings true for Kylie – she is passionate about not only encouraging people to move more but to feel safe, empowered & confident in doing so. Kylie loves getting to know her clients and their families – sharing stories and a few laughs along the way.
Outside of work Kylie loves to spend time getting outdoors on a hike with her kids and maybe one of her dogs – she is also a dedicated foster carer. Yoga, travel, the arts, cooking and reading are some of her other pursuits when time allows!
