What is Telehealth?

Telehealth is the provision of health services, such as physiotherapy, via technology, usually a video call or phone call.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, it is imperative to minimise face-to-face interactions wherever possible. Telehealth is a safe and effective way of managing the majority of ailments, using evidence-based principles of education and exercise to optimise outcomes. Research has shown comparable outcomes between Telehealth and face-to-face consultations for a number of conditions.

The majority of private health insurers now support the use of Telehealth during COVID-19, as do Medicare and DVA.

If you are unsure whether Telehealth is appropriate for you, call us or send us a message to discuss.

What will I need?

You will need a computer, iPad, or mobile device with Zoom enabled. Once you have booked your Telehealth consultation, you will be emailed a Zoom link to your appointment. If you have not received your link within 24hrs of your appointment, please check your junk mail, and then call us to rectify any issues.

You will also need an open space so that your physiotherapist can assess your movement, and prescribe exercises.
